New York and California Summer Program

About the program
 Ambitious students can experience life at a globally leading firm on our 10-week summer program. Based in our New York or California office, you’ll work alongside brilliant lawyers, working on individual projects and matters throughout the summer. During the program, you will develop the skills, knowledge and networks you need for a career in law.
What's involved? Over the summer, you’ll work on real world transactions and cases, supported by a partner and associate mentor. We recruit most of our new attorneys from the summer associate pool, so this is the perfect chance to develop your knowledge and get ahead in your future career. We also hold a number of social events to help you build your future network. These include lunches, dinners, cocktail parties, game nights, cooking classes and much more.

A first year associate joining Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer directly from an accredited joint JD/MBA program will receive a bonus of $15,000. A first year associate who has intervening employment between his or her JD/MBA degree and commencement of employment with the Firm is not eligible to receive any JD/MBA bonus.
