Graduate Program

About the program
Our Graduate Program is built around your ambition and fuelled by ours: it's a tailored, structured opportunity that focuses on your long‑term success, offering a rounded and meaningful start to your legal career. Across three six‑month rotations in different practice areas, you’ll strengthen your knowledge, develop your mindset and build the breadth of experience needed to become an excellent solicitor and trusted advisor - all while discovering the type of lawyer you want to be.

Before each rotation, you’ll have the opportunity to submit your preferred practice areas, allowing you to tailor your program to your personal interests. As a truly global firm, our international rotations and client and internal secondments are a vital part of your development where you can apply to spend six months expanding your global network.

At the end of the 18 months, you’ll select the practice area in which you’d like to continue growing your career, enabling you to focus your development and shape a future that truly excites and inspires you.
Become part of a team
Our lawyers are leaders in their field and deliver the high-profile, high-quality work that matters to our clients. You’ll be a hands-on part of the team and the life of the firm from the outset. You’ll work closely with them and learn to tackle complexity and navigate change.

To guide you through the rotation, you’ll be allocated a supervising partner, coach (Senior Associate) and buddy (Junior Solicitor). They’ll be responsible for your career development, workload and wellbeing.
Structured blended work/learning experience
In partnership with UNSW, we’ll support you through the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice on your pathway to becoming a Solicitor. You’ll complete this during your first rotation, where you’ll have up to 20 days of study leave. This means you’ll be on track for admission before your second rotation.
Tailored training and support
As our future lawyers, we take our graduates’ training and welfare very seriously. Throughout your time here, you’ll have a supervising partner, coach and trainee buddy to approach with any questions or concerns. Your graduate program will begin with a comprehensive one-week induction, after which you’ll have ongoing practice group training related to your rotation. We’ll also support your Legal Practitioner in Australia admission through Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice For you to be a trusted advisor to our clients and a valuable member of our team, you will need to develop a range of business skills to complement your technical knowledge of the law. As a Graduate you will attend the first level of the Business Skills Academy (Launch) during your first and second rotations to develop these skills.
